BATAVIA – The City Council appointed members of two committees on Monday.
Named to serve on the Audit Advisory Committee for the rest of this year are Councilmen John J. Canale and Pierluigi Cippolone, Kathleen Saville, Scott C. Rozanski and Bruce R. Tehan.
Reappointed to new two-year terms as Business Improvement District liaison were Councilwoman Patti Pacino, and historian Larry D. Barnes.
In a brief session, the council approved transferring $120,000, which the city collects in commercial assessments, to the Business Improvement District, which helps finance upgrades downtown and in the Ellicott Street retail area.
Also approved was the sale of four foreclosed properties that brought more than $100,000 at an auction one month ago. Disposal or salvage was also ordered for Police, Fire and Public works department vehicles and equipment no longer usable.
