Suspected cocaine dealer arrested in Dunkirk

MAYVILLE– A 34-year-old Dunkirk man was taken into custody early Friday evening on an arrested warrant Chautauqua County Judge John T. Ward issued in connection with grand jury indictment accusing him of trafficking in cocaine throughout the city of Dunkirk.

Bobby L. Allen was arrested without incident at about 6 p.m. at his home on Genet Street in Dunkirk by Dunkirk police and State parole officers.

Based on an investigation by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and “numerous” alleged sales of cocaine to undercover task force agents, officials said, Allen was indicted on numerous count of criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance in the third-degree. He was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.

Officials confirmed additional charges are pending against Allen but they would not comment on those charges.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said anyone witnessing drug sales is urged to either call the Regional Drug Task Force at 1-800-344-8702 or their local police.
