Fire in a vacant home and a vacant rear cottage at 333 Mills Street late Sunday left $50.000 damage to the house and $35,000 to the rear cottage, according to the Buffalo Fire Department.

The fire at the front home was reported at 10:53 p.m. Sunday and was found to have started in the first-floor rear and extended to the attic. Flames from that fire caused damage to the exterior walls of the rear cottage.

The flames rekindled early Monday afternoon but were quickly extinguished and caused no additional damage, according to the fire department.
