Felony marijuana arrest following a traffic stop

TOWN OF NIAGARA – New York State Police charged two with marijuana possession following a traffic stop 11:45 p.m. Saturday on Military Road.

Troopers said they stopped the car for failure to keep right and detected an odor of marijuana and also observed marijuana in plain view. They also found an additional unspecified quantity of marijuana when they searched the vehicle.

The driver, Gary M. Todd Jr., 23, of Niagara Falls was charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony. His passenger, Jermaine A. Hamiliton, 24, of Niagara Falls was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.

Both men were released on appearance tickets to return to Town of Niagara Court on April 24.
