LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man pleaded guilty Monday in Niagara County Court to possessing three ounces of cocaine when he was arrested May 15.

Rashawn M. Martin, 35, of Lockport Street, admitted to a reduced charge of attempted third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and was scheduled for sentencing June 27 by County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas.

The judge promised to send Martin to prison for no longer than 2 1/2 years. Martin must forfeit $1,261 that police confiscated from him when he was arrested.
