Bulletin Board for April 15

The News will run its annual directory of summer camps online only at buffalonews.com in late April. If you would like your camp listed, email information including dates, fees and a contact person to Kelly Boquard at kboquard@buffnews.com. The deadline is April 18.


The Western New York Track & Field Officials have elected their executive committee: Mike Blest - President, Dick Pauly - Vice President, Tim Toy - Secretary, Manyann Nagy - Treasurer, John Skubis - Sgt.-at-Arms. Pat Janiga, Kevin Horn, Beth McMahon and John Montalbo have been elected to the Board of Directors.

Application for membership to the Association is open to men & women over 21 years of age. Visit www.wnytfoa.weebly.com. Classes begin in the fall.


Molly Denman, Level 7, and Emily Battaglia, Level 8, took the all-around titles in their age groups at the New York State Gymnastics Championship in Syracuse. Denman also won balance beam and floor exercise and placed second on vault. Battaglia won vault, uneven bars and floor exercise.

Level 7 team members included Mikala Thursam, third on balance beam and fifth in floor exercise, Meadow Wright, fourth balance beam and Dakota Piehler, fourth uneven bars.

Alexandra Piehler, Emily Maulucci and Lara Krys also competed at Level 8.

Courtney Bondanza, finished second on beam, third on vault and fifth on floor while Samantha Miller was second on beam, fourth in vault and fourth all-around. Caylee Ford finished second on the beam, fifth in vault and fourth all-around. Bondanza and Ford qualified to level 10 nationals and Miller qualifed to Eastern Nationals. Jadyn Hogan was finished 4th on floor.


SOFTBALL: City of Tonawanda Parks & Recreation needs teams for a Thursday night mens’ slow-pitch league. Games are played at fields on East Niagara Street along the Erie Canal in the City of Tonawanda. Game times are 6, 6:30, 7:15, 7:45 and 9 p.m. The cost is $300 per team with an additional $15 cash due to the umpire at the beginning of each game. Call 505-1024 or recreation@ci.tonawanda.ny.us.
