Kennedy right to reject initial budget resolution
I hate robo calls, especially those political ones aiming to poison you against an elected official. I want to yell, “But you’re stating the issue so unfairly!” But of course I can’t, because there’s no one there.
Take the recent “Kennedy hates school kids” robo call. It pointed out that State Sen. Tim Kennedy voted against raising state aid to public education. Of course he did – it wasn’t enough and most of the increase went to private and charter, not public, education interests. That budget resolution never got off the ground; and a better option was subsequently adopted.
I applaud Kennedy for standing up, alone, for public education in Buffalo. He’s the best friend school kids have in the Western New York Senate delegation.
