Falls man indicted in convenience store robbery

LOCKPORT – A man who already faced charges in connection with two home invasions was arraigned Thursday in Niagara County Court on a fresh indictment accusing him of robbing a Niagara Falls convenience store Oct. 30.

Sharod L. Gulley, 17, of 27th Street, pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree robbery, stemming from the gunpoint holding of Mark’s Food Mart on 19th Street. Gulley allegedly was one of two masked men who took part in the robbery, and police said at the time that Gulley was the man with the gun.

He also has been indicted in connection with two attacks on the same man in the Falls Sept. 11 and Oct. 18. The victim was reportedly the new boyfriend of the former girlfriend of Gulley’s co-defendant, Donald Rodgers Jr., 21, of Cudaback Avenue. Deputy District Attorney Doreen M. Hoffmann said on March 20 that Gulley was involved in both invasions. The victim was shot in the arm in the second attack.

Gulley is being held in lieu of a total of $45,000 bail.
