Andy Pitz is one of three Buffalo natives performing Friday in the “Nobodies of Comedy” tour.

They might be called the “Nobodies of Comedy” today, but if history is any indication, they are the stars of tomorrow. And when this showcase of “the funniest comics you’ve never heard of” performs at 8 p.m. Friday in 710 Main Theatre, it will feature three comics from Buffalo: Matt Bergman, Andy Pitz and Mark Walton. Rounding out the show are Joe DeVito and Liz Miele.

Bergman earned a degree in criminal justice but, after realizing he was afraid of criminals, went into the comedy business, and he has since opened for such big names as Jon Lovitz and Dave Attell. Pitz is known for his upbeat and positive routine that has gotten him on late-night TV shows hosted by David Letterman and Craig Ferguson. Walton remembers doing comedy as far back as the fourth grade. He’s performed at comedy clubs and festivals, and he has been heard on Sirius Satellite Radio.

Tickets are $36.50 (box office, Ticketmaster or by calling 745-3000). – Toni Ruberto
