M&T Bank promoted Dennis J. Heim and Julie A. McGuire to administrative vice presidents. Heim, with the bank for 22 years, is manager in the banking controls accounting analysis department. Heim, a CPA, graduated from the University at Buffalo. McGuire, with the bank for 23 years, is currently a systems manager. McGuire received a both a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from UB.


Dr. Randolph V. Clower, an associate with Phillips Lytle, participated in Cornell University’s “Broadening Experiences in Scientific Training” event on the university’s Ithaca campus recently. Clower took part in a panel discussion titled “Governance, Risk & Compliance.”


The Buffalo Niagara Division of the American Heart Association named Anthony J. Baynes, chairman of A.J. Baynes Group, and James W. Cornell, CEO of Praxiis Advisors, volunteer co-chairmen for the 2014 Heart Ball. The annual black-tie event will take place in May 31 in the Hyatt Regency Buffalo.

Stampede Presentation Products was selected by Samsung to take a lead role in the marketing of its entire line of Samsung Galaxy TabPRO and NotePRO HD tablet displays through the 11,500 dealers in the company’s distribution network. Amherst-based Stampede is a distributor of presentation equipment, including LCD/DLP projectors and flat panel displays.


Seneca Gaming Corp. selected Buffalo-based agency The Martin Group as its advertising agency of record. The Martin Group will provide branding, creative development, media placement and marketing support services for all three Seneca Casinos properties: Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel, Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel and Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino.


Noco customers and employees raised $8,441 for Ben Sauer, a Clarence boy fighting cancer, and his family during a recent Blue4Ben campaign from March 19 through April 2. Customers at local Noco Express stores were encouraged to donate $1 to the cause, raising a total of $7,534. Employees at Noco’s corporate office also donated $907. Noco’s donation will benefit Roswell Park Cancer Institute’s Pediatric Cancer Care Center.
