Canisius senior midfielder Maria Kotas (Lancaster) was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week in women’s lacrosse after she set a school single-game record with 14 points (eight goals, six assists) in a 23-15 victory over Quinnipiac on Sunday.

It was the fourth most points in a game in NCAA Division I women’s lacrosse history and the most since 2007. Kotas also tied the MAAC record for points in a game and her eight goals tied the Canisius record. She finished the week with 11 goals, six assists, 10 draw controls in two games.
