Lockport police charged a juvenile early this morning and charged him with the robbery of a 7-Eleven store on Sunday night.
An officer noticed the young male about 1:30 a.m. walking in the parking lot of the Sunoco station at High and South Transit Street, which had been robbed earlier in the evening. The male was heading toward the 7-Eleven store across the street.
When the male saw the officer, he immediately began to walk north on South Transit, police said
The officer stopped the male because he resembled one of the robbery suspects from the Sunoco robbery and also the 7-Eleven robbery from Sunday. The officer also discovered the juvenile had a BB gun in his possession, police said.
The juvenile and a guardian were taken to the Lockport Police Department for questioning and the juvenile was charged with second-degree robbery for Sunday’s 7-Eleven robbery. The second suspect in the 7-Eleven robbery remains at large.
The robbery at the Sunoco remains under investigation.
