Altman Dental appointed Dr. Gina Muto a full-time associate at its dental practice. She graduated from Ohio State University and earned her D.D.S. at the University at Buffalo’s School Dental Medicine. Muto also serves on the faculty of the UB School of Dental Medicine.


Jennifer Pratt, senior regional director of communications, American Heart Association and American Stroke Association, has successfully completed the examination for accreditation in public relations through the Universal Accreditation Board, entitling her to use the APR professional designation. She is one of 36 professionals in Western New York to earn accreditation.


First Niagara mortgage consultant Julie Symes-Hall was recognized by the State of New York Mortgage Agency as a top-producing loan officer and named to its 2013 Hall of Fame. Symes-Hall has been a mortgage consultant and previously a loan officer for HSBC for three years and has been with First Niagara since 2011. She graduated from Buffalo State College.

Explore & More Children’s Museum was awarded the 21st Century Fund’s $100,000 grant to be used in the exhibit designs for the new children’s museum set to open in the South Aud Block of Canalside. Due to open in 2016, the new Explore & More Children’s Museum will offer seven educational play zones and a rooftop garden in 40,000 square feet along the towpath of the newly built canals at Canalside on Buffalo’s waterfront.
