The Williamsville Board of Education expects to adopt its budget proposal for the 2014-15 school year at its regular board meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the district office boardroom, 105 Casey Road, East Amherst.

The board at its last meeting discussed a $173.4 million budget proposal that would raise the property tax rate by an estimated 1.37 percent. Since then, district officials received more information about the amount of state aid Williamsville Central Schools will receive next year.

The preliminary budget proposal includes a reorganization of the district’s technology department to eliminate four full-time positions, as well as other spending reductions.
