Wendel’s director of public transportation planning, Marlene B. Connor, was elected chairwoman of the Mobility Management Committee for the American Public Transportation Association, an international association that represents more than 1,500 public and private sector transit organizations in the United States and around the world.


The YWCA of WNY named Emily Winslow Tucker to its 2014 board of directors. Tucker, a Tulane University graduate, is with the Benjaman Gallery.


TM Montante Development appointed Corey Stewart senior project manager. Stewart previously was a project manager at Ciminelli Development and Ellicott Development. He graduated from Buffalo State College and earned a master’s degree from the University at Buffalo.

Zoup! Fresh Soup Company franchisee Michael Wiktor has signed a lease to open a Zoup! location at Crossroads Centre, 3217 Southwestern Blvd., Orchard Park. The new restaurant will open in June. Zoup! has 61 restaurants in 15 states and provinces in the U.S. and Canada. It is targeting New York State as part of an expansion strategy.


Moog Inc., East Aurora, was awarded a $5,384,274 federal contract for electro-mechanical actuators from the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command, Philadelphia.


The Amherst Senior Citizens Foundation recently presented a check for $10,000 to Amherst Senior Transportation Services to enable the organization to assist seniors with transportation to and from grocery stores.
