NIAGARA FALLS – Students, faculty and administrators from 80 colleges and universities in 12 states are attending the Northeast Regional Honors Council’s annual spring regional conference in Niagara Falls this weekend.

More than 550 attendees are expected, with activities planned to explore the region.

The conference will include presentations on Friday by E.W. Baxter III, professor emeritus of English at Niagara County Community College, and Seth Piccirillo, director of the city’s Community Development Department. The council describes itself as an organization of students, faculty, and administrators dedicated to the encouragement and support of undergraduate honors learning.

The event begins today and runs through Sunday.
