Hydrilla, an invasive freshwater plant that has become a problem in Tonawanda Creek and the Erie Canal, will be the topic of a public information meeting April 14 hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The session from 6 to 8 p.m. in Frontiersmen Post 7545, Veterans of Foreign Wars, 110 Elgin St., City of Tonawanda, will outline options for controlling dense growths of the plant on the waterway between the Tonawandas and Lockport.
