Insyte Consulting named Dr. Thomas P. Stewart chairman of its board of directors. Other officers: Secretary, Kenneth P. Friedman and treasurer, Stephen T. LoVullo. Also, the organization named the following new members to its board of directors for three-year terms: Paul DellaNeve, group vice president of Business Development for the Aircraft Controls segment of Moog Inc.; Marnie LaVigne, associate vice president of Economic Development at the University at Buffalo and director of Business Development at the NYS Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics & Life Sciences; and Rocco Surace, partner with The Bonadio Group.


The Salvation Army of Greater Buffalo elected the following new members of its Advisory Board: Donna Niswander, an occupational therapist at Athleticare North CHS; David Richardson, administrative vice president, M&T Bank; Henry Semmelhack, retired executive; Jorge S. deRosas, attorney, Wolfgang & Weinmann; and Timothy Hogues, Erie County Legislator first district.


The Niagara Frontier Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers awarded Roni Brown, safety director of New Era Cap Co. in Buffalo, the 2013 Safety Professional of the Year Award. Also, ASSE member Paul Burghardt was awarded the Edward J. Waring Safety Award by the Western New York Safety Conference at the March event.

The Gowanda Area Chamber of Commerce will honor the following 2014 Spirit of Gowanda winners Saturday at the Gowanda Moose: Business Award, Designer Pools; Community Service Award, Nicholas Hodak; and Excellence in Youth Award, Megan Stang and Alexis Sager, both of St. Joseph School in Gowanda, and Kelsey Delpriore, Gowanda Central School.


Construction and Service Solutions Corp., a local woman-owned commercial general contractor, was selected to receive the Growth Master award from U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce at a ceremony last month during the National Small Business Federal Contracting Week and D.C. Summit held in Washington, D.C. The award recognizes contractors who have achieved significant growth over the last three years


Applied Fabric Technologies, Orchard Park, was awarded a $61,050 federal contract for oil containment booms from the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command Seal Beach, Calif.
