A public information session on a proposed project to transform the Scajaquada Expressway will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. next Wednesday in Bulger Communications Center at Buffalo State College.

The meeting, hosted by the state Department of Transportation and Assemblyman Sean Ryan, D-Buffalo, will feature information displays and a formal presentation on the project, which will start at 6 p.m.

The project would transform the Scajaquada Expressway into a functional and safe urban boulevard that is in greater harmony with the surrounding community and natural environment. At the meeting, state officials will solicit public comments on transportation alternatives that are being looked at by local individuals, groups, public officials and agencies.
