Herman Terry, 33, of Hawthorne Avenue, was jailed by Cheektowaga Town Justice Paul S. Piotrowski for the next nine months on his guilty plea to a criminal contempt charge involving a Cheektowaga woman he used to date.

Terry was charged on March 3 with menacing and criminal contempt for allegedly threatening the woman who had obtained a court order of protection against him last year after he allegedly threatened to stab her in a Cheektowaga house as she broke up with him.

Piotrowski told Terry he was sending him to jail for both violating the court order and what the judge called his “extensive criminal record.”
