A 31-year-old Whitney Place man was arrested on burglary and other charges early Friday after he allegedly broke into a neighbor’s apartment and stole three television sets, a play station game device and a cable box.
Christopher Cooley was arrested about 12:30 a.m. after a brief foot chase down Whiney after police were called to the scene by another neighbor. He was found to have a crack pipe on him when arrested.
Cooley was charged with second-degree burglary, grand larceny, criminal possession of a controlled substance, trespass and obstructing governmental administration. The stolen property was reportedly recovered.
