Garden Notes: News of area clubs and events

Ikebana International Buffalo Chapter 50 will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Buffalo Museum of Science. Following the business meeting, Judy Tucholski-Zon, regional vice president of the American Iris Society for New York state and the provinces of Ontario and Quebec, will give a slide presentation on “The World of Iris.” Prospective members and guests welcome. East Park Garden Club will hold its installation dinner at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Byblos Niagara Resort and Spa, Grand Island.


Orchard Park Garden Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Orchard Park Fire Hall, 30 School St., Orchard Park. Sign ups will be followed by refreshments at noon and a program at 12:30 p.m. Guest speaker Albert Gilewicz will discuss the environment and “Your Carbon Footprint.” Regular membership meeting to follow. Everyone is welcome.


Williamsville Garden Club will install officers at 1 p.m. Thursday in Windows on the Green, Westwood Country Club, 772 North Forest Road, Amherst.


Town and Country Garden Club will hold its annual installation dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday in Orazio’s Restaurant, 9415 Main St., Clarence.
