SANBORN – A public meeting on the development of a county-wide strategy to prepare for future storms will be held tonight at Niagara County Community College.

One of the objectives of the session is to discuss how up to $3 million in state funding should be spent on storm-recovery projects in the wake of last summer’s severe storms.

Other topics include an introduction of the project, schedule, components and expected outcomes.

The meeting will be hosted by the state Department of State and the NY Rising Niagara County Planning Committee, which is chaired by Sam Ferraro of the Niagara County Center for Economic Development and NCCC President James Klyczek.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the college’s Fine Arts Theater.
