A 57-year-old Grand Island man was charged with driving while intoxicated by Erie County sheriff’s deputies Tuesday afternoon after he was found to have a blood-alcohol level of 0.25 per cent, more than three times the state’s legal limit for driving.

Dana Boyle was pulled over on Grand Island Boulevard shortly after 4 p.m. by Detective Brian O’Hara and Deputy Daniel Walczak. After being booked at the sheriff’s Grand Island substation Doyle was ordered to appear in Grand Island Town Court for proceedings in several weeks.
