OLAF FUB SEZ: According to ballet great Rudolf Nureyev, born on this date in 1938, “Technique is what you fall back on when you run out of inspiration.”

Green Dream

I decided to go out

And visit O’Malley’s Pub.

They were serving green beer

With plenty of tasty grub.

After three pitchers,

I was a little unsteady,

Growing very tired,

My eyes were getting heavy.

When I thought I woke up,

I was inside a dream.

It was a beautiful land,

With every shade of green.

As I sat in a green meadow,

A leprechaun came up to me.

“Let’s take a walk,” he said,

“There are many treasures to see.”

He led me through a forest,

And then inside a cave.

I hoped this was a memory

I’d be able to save.

Inside this cave

Was a mountain of gold.

I could hardly wait

To see what was next to unfold.

As quick as he arrived,

He suddenly went away.

That’s when I really woke up,

Much to my dismay.

I was back at the pub,

Trying to clear my mind.

I reached into my pocket

And revealed quite a find.

A solid gold coin

That was not there before.

I couldn’t take my eyes off it,

It was impossible to ignore.

I had to ask myself

Why did I receive this blessing?

It’s a St. Patrick’s Day miracle

Is what I would be guessing.
