The Niagara Falls Sports Expo featuring 50,000 square feet of exhibitors, memorabilia, Hockey Hall of Fame displays and more will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 29 at Scotiabank Convention Center, 6815 Stanley Ave., Niagara Falls, Ont. Daemen College will hold its third annual Basketball Hot Shot Contest for boys and girls ages 5 to 14 on March 30 at the college gymnasium. Registration and warm-ups start at noon with competition rounds to follow. There will be prizes and kids activities throughout the day and skills clinics with Daemen student-athletes. ICE SKATING: Learn-to-skate classes for hockey players and figure skaters will run from April 7 to May 16 in Dwyer Arena at Niagara University. Classes will be held on Mondays from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m., Wednesdays from 6 to 6:30 p.m. and Fridays from 4:55-5:25 p.m. Classes also will be held from April 8 to June 26 at Hockey Outlet Ice Complex in Wheatfield on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. Classes are for ages 4 to adult.
