A Depew woman was arrested in South Buffalo with an assortment of prescription pills and other drug paraphernalia in her purse, Buffalo police said today.

Shayla McSpadden of Borden Road, was driving with a broken tail light and suspended license, police said. In her purse, police said, were an assortment of pills, including 37 buprenorphine – the generic name for Suboxone, the drug used to help treat opiod addiction; as well as as methylin – generic Ritalin, and oxycodone, an opiod painkiller.

She was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance outside of its original container.
