Good thing the NCAAs didn’t come a week earlier, with the March Blizzard producing about a foot of snow that was tossed around by wind gusts over 40 mph last Wednesday.

What a mess that would have been, the day before the tournament opener.

This week, the National Weather Service is calling for a more seasonal day Thursday, with mostly cloudy skies, a 40 percent chance of rain or snow and a high near 37.
