ALBION – A 44-year-old Rochester woman has been arrested on felony and misdemeanor drug charges by State Police for allegedly trying to sneak powdered cocaine into a male inmate at the Orleans County Correctional Facility here.

Carmelia Terry was arrested Saturday after jail officials contacted detectives with the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation about a suspicious package in her purse. After the contents tested positive as powder cocaine she was charged with promoting prison contraband in the first-degree and unlawful possession of a controlled substances. Released without bail, she faces further proceedings in Albion Town Court in several weeks.
