LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls High School senior is expected to be granted youthful offender status in the wake of her guilty plea Friday in connection with a Lewiston burglary.

The 17-year-old Ferry Avenue girl was allowed to plead guilty to a reduced charge of second-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.

But she must pay $674 in restitution for the July 30 break-in at a home on Oak Hill Drive in Lewiston.

Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas warned the girl to continue her drug counseling appointments before sentencing June 27 if she wants to avoid going to jail.
