Tools and guns stolen in Falls burglary

NIAGARA FALLS – A 44-year-old man said someone entered his house in the 3000 block of Welch Avenue while he was at work overnight and took a number of items, including tools and two shotguns.

The victim said he arrived home at 7 a.m. Wednesday and found the front door open. There was no sign of forced entry and the man’s girlfriend told police she may have left it unlocked when she left Tuesday night shortly after the victim went to work.

A computer, a $1,500 impact wrench, various tools, two shotguns and medication were stolen, with a total value of nearly $4,000, according to a police report.
