UB hires Lewis to coach secondary

Eric Lewis has been hired by the University at Buffalo as the secondary coach for the football team. Lewis replaces Maurice Linguist, who left to become the secondary coach at Iowa State.

Lewis, the son of veteran NFL assistant Sherman Lewis, had been the defensive coordinator at Weber State. He was a defensive coordinator at Eastern Michigan in 2009.

In addition, Lewis has worked at Louisville as a cornerback coach, and as a defensive quality coach for the Green Bay Packers.
