NEWFANE – A variety of landscaping equipment, valued at $5,600, was reported stolen from a storage site at 5491 Murphy Road. The victim told Niagara County sheriff’s deputies this is the third time he has been hit since November.

The 39-year-old victim told deputies Sunday that a three point landscaping rake valued at $1,500 was taken from the storage yard at Maximum Storage.

He said he had believed that the thefts were an isolated incident and did not report the prior incidents. The owner of the storage site told the victim that a pickup was seen leaving the storage area.

Also stolen since November were a back plow, valued at $3,000, and pallet forks, valued at $1,100. The equipment had been stored outside and was not locked up.
