Buffalo man jailed for violating order of protection

A 48-year-old Buffalo man has been ordered to spend up to the next six months in jail by Cheektowaga Town Justice Paul. S. Piotrowski for his conviction for violating an order of protection the judge gave one of the man’s former girlfriends last month, court officials said today.

Kenneth R. Wesley of Gray Street could be released from the Erie County Correctional Facility in Alden in four months. He was convicted of texting threatening messages to his former girlfriend in defiance of the judge’s order of protection. Cheektowaga police arrested Wesley on Feb. 22 on charges of aggravated family offense, aggravated harassment and criminal contempt.
