LITTLE VALLEY – Cattaraugus County Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb is seeking support for the New York State Sheriff’s Association’s Sheriff’s Summer Camp at Keuka Lake.

In its 37th year, the camp gives about 840 underprivileged children the chance to experience summer camp, which features recreational activities and offers a better understanding of the law enforcement community.

“In these difficult economic times we cannot forget our youth who will not have the opportunity for a summer camp experience or a summer vacation,” Whitcomb said. “By becoming an honorary member of the New York State Sheriff’s Association you are supporting the Sheriff’s Summer Camp for economically disadvantaged children.”

Thirty-one children from Cattaraugus County will attend the camp, Whitcomb said.
