Sanborn man faces two drunken driving charges

A Niagara County man faces a pair of drunken driving charges after he was stopped shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday on Route 240 in the Town of Concord, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Brian S. Taylor, 44, of Human Road, Sanborn, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after a computer check turned up a 2006 DWI conviction in Amherst.

He also was charged with aggravated DWI after he registered a reading of 0.24 percent blood alcohol content on a breath test. He was sent to Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $750 bail and a 12-hour hold was placed on his vehicle.

Deputy Mike Okal of the sheriff’s Snowmobile Unit stopped Taylor after a parking lot attendant at Kissing Bridge Ski Resort told him an apparently drunken driver had just left. It was the Sheriff’s Department’s 34th DWI arrest so far this year.
