A prominent accountant and a member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board will speak next month at Canisius College.
Jeanette Franzel’s lecture, “Promoting Integrity of Financial Audits to Protect Investors and the Public Interest,” will begin at 4 p.m. March 4 in the Montante Cultural Center, on the corner of Main Street and Eastwood Place. It’s free and open to the public.
Franzel, a certified public accountant named by Accounting Today as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in the industry last year, was appointed to the oversight board by the Securities and Exchange Commission in 2012.
