Maryvale will induct five former players and two teams to its Athletic Wall of Fame. Lisa Basil Harris 91, Dan Chrzanowski 81, Kevin DiGiacomo 99, Jason Kuczmanski 99 and Stacy Michalski 82, as well as the 1989 baseball team and 1992 women’s bowling team, make up the 2014 induction class. Rachel Jager of Williamsville and Ashley Latchford of Buffalo have made national synchronized swimming squads. USA Synchro announced that Jager was selected for the 13-15 squad and Latchford for the 12 & under squad.. Both girls swim with Buffalo Swimkins.


BASKETBALL: WNY Maritime Charter School will hold a basketball camp for boys in grades 7, 8 and 9 during the April school break, April 14-18. Sessions will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day at St. Mary’s School for the Deaf. Cost is $25. Call Tiffany Rogers at 842-6289, Ext. 33. ... The Buffalo Titans will hold AAU tryouts for boys 14-17U teams on March 2 at the Buffalo Niagara Court Center. Registration is required online at buffalotitans.com. ... Several openings remain for youth spring basketball tournaments put on by North American Youth Sports for boys and girls from grades 5 through 12. The tournaments are held March 28-30 at the Gloria Parks Community Center, Sweet Home High School and Daemen College; cost is $110 per team.

FOOTBALL: Utica College defensive coordinator and Ken West graduate Will Pluff will be the featured clinician for the Western New York Football Coaches Association meeting, held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Elks Lodge, 33 Legion Parkway, Lancaster.
