Google representatives will be in Buffalo Thursday to discuss how local businesses and organizations can get the “Street View Indoors” program in their establishments.
The event, arranged by the Buffalo-Niagara Partnership, will be held beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the partnership’s offices, 665 Main St., Suite 200, and will feature a round-table discussion about Google’s “Street View Indoors” program, featuring the program’s photographers.
The Google program provides a virtual tour of an establishment by providing panoramic pictures of the business. The event is free, but registration is required at www.thepartnership.org.
The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and it’s divided into four sessions, focusing on specific business segments. The first session – “Museum, Galleries, Tourism” – goes from 8:30 to 10 a.m.; the second – “Service, Manufacturing, Distribution, Construction” – is from 10:30 a.m. to noon; the third – “Restaurant, Retail, Lodging, Professional Practice” – runs from 1:30 to 3 p.m.; and the final segment 4 – “Commercial & Residential Leasing” – goes from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
