Newstead man surrenders to State Police

A 29-year-old Town of Newstead man surrendered to state police Sunday after he allegedly tried to contact a former Town of Clarence girlfriend on Friday, Valentine’s Day, after she had obtained a court order barring him from annoying her, troopers said.

Scott L. Blair was charged at the Clarence Zone Headquarters with felony first-degree criminal contempt and was allowed to leave after posting $500 bail pending further proceedings in Clarence Town Court in several weeks.
