Buffalo man admits to Lockport DWI felony

LOCKPORT – A man facing sentencing in Buffalo City Court on a felony driving while intoxicated charge pleaded guilty to the same charge Monday in Niagara County Court.

Raymond A. Black Jr., 49, of East Utica Street, Buffalo, is to be sentenced April 28 by Judge Matthew J. Murphy III. That’s 12 days after his scheduled sentencing in Buffalo. He could be given up to four years in custody on each charge.

Deputy District Attorney Theodore A. Brenner said Black was driving a van that struck a tree along Lincoln Avenue in the Town of Lockport just before 5:30 p.m. Sept. 26 and left the scene.
