The Town of Tonawanda Youth, Parks & Recreation Department is offering an American Red Cross Lifeguarding class from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 17-21 at the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic and Fitness Center, 1 Pool Plaza.

The cost is $180. The course is open to anyone 15 years old and up, and residents outside the town.

Class curriculum includes lifeguard training, first aid, CPR/AED and oxygen administration training, all of which are required to become a certified lifeguard.

• The Town Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in council chambers at the municipal building, 2919 Delaware Ave. A work session begins at 4 p.m. in the conference room.

• The Ken-Ton School Board meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the community room of the Philip Sheridan building, 3200 Elmwood Ave.

• Staff from State Sen. Mark Grisanti’s office will hold satellite office hours Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the municipal building, 2919 Delaware Ave.
