A woman in her 70s was killed in a fire Friday night in a trailer park in Clarence.

The fire broke out around 8 p.m. in the Sheridan Park Village trailer park on Sheridan Drive near Main Street, according to Erie County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Kuhlmey.

The woman, who lived alone, is not being identified pending notification of next of kin.

The victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, had oxygen tanks in her home and several small explosions were heard, Kuhlmey said.

The mobile home was completely gutted.

The cause remains under investigation.

The Harris Hill Fire Department responded to the call.
