Former Salamanca woman convicted of felony welfare fraud

LITTLE VALLEY – A 32-year-old former Salamanca woman was convicted by a Cattaraugus County Court jury of felony welfare fraud.

Following a four-day trial before Justice Ronald D. Ploetz, Erica Davis was found guilty of both felony welfare fraud and felony offering a false instrument for filing for the public assistance she illegally received in Salamanca from January 2013 through last May.

Davis, who is now living in Irvington, N.J., faces sentencing June 2.
