FRIDAY FARE – A breaded pork chop dinner is this week’s special at the Friday fish fry from 4 to 8 p.m. in Father Justin Council, Knights of Columbus, 2735 Union Road at William Street, Cheektowaga. Pork chops are $10.95. Fish is $10.75 beer-battered or breaded, $11.95 broiled.

After dinner, there will be an “Act III” CD release party, where roast beef sandwiches, chicken wings and cheese platters will be available. For info, call 683-3635.


WARM UP – Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 263 Claremont Ave., Town of Tonawanda, is hosting St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy Soup-er Chili Nite from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $12 adults, children under 12 free, and includes dessert, beverage and all the soup or chili you can eat. Drawings for the 50-50 and the chance auction are at 7:30.


PASTA TIME – The annual spaghetti dinner and theme tray raffle to benefit St. Francis of Assisi School, 70 Adam St., City of Tonawanda, will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Dinner tickets are $7 for adults, $4 for youngsters ages 4 to 10. Kids 3 and under are free. Raffle tickets are $5 a sheet or five sheets for $20. To donate items, call 692-7886.


TRY YOUR LUCK – Brighton Community Church, 1225 Brighton Road, Town of Tonawanda, is having a theme basket raffle from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $5 a sheet or three sheets for $10.


SPOOKY RENDEZVOUS – Put a thrill into Valentine’s Day with a romantic ghost hunt. “Hearts and Spirits” on Feb. 14 in the haunted Iron Island Museum, 998 Lovejoy St., includes a candlelight dinner from 7 to 9 p.m., followed by a three-hour investigation of the historic premises, which once was a funeral home.

Tickets are limited and are $100 per couple. Dinner includes a bottle of wine, two wine glasses and chocolates. Guests should bring their own flashlights, cameras and voice recorders. For tickets, call 892-3084 or visit
