Former NASCAR driver Richard Childress, owner of Richard Childress Racing, has been added to the lineup of athletes slated to appear at the Buffalo Auto Show, joining Baseball Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson, Buffalo Braves basketball great Ernie DiGregorio, and members of the Buffalo Bills’ famed “Electric Company” offensive line. The auto show takes place Feb. 6-9 at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center; tickets are $9. Anyone attending during DiGregorio’s appearance will be entitled to one free autograph; additional autographs will be available for $5 each. Tickets for an autograph from members of the Electric Company will be available for $10 per player. Jackson’s autographs will start at $89.

BASKETBALL: North American Youth Sports’ annual spring will be held in Buffalo on March 21-23 at the Gloria Parks Community Center, Sweet Home High School and Daemen College. Age groups for boys and girls range from 5th grade up to 12th. Entry fee is $110. Teams guaranteed at least two games. Deadline is Feb. 28. FOOTBALL: Cross Training hosting second mini camp at the Buffalo Bills Healthy Zone facility, a skills camp for QB/WR from grades 7-12 and linebackers grades 8-12. HOCKEY: Buffalo Stars Tuesday/Thursday Skills 2014 will be held April 22 through June 26, open to years 2001-2000 and 1999-1998. This program is designed for the AA and AAA level travel player to maintain a sharp skill level during the off season. Each session includes 40 minutes of skating and stick skills, and a 25-minute scrimmage. Jersey & socks will be provided. Each session takes place at Holiday Twin Rinks in Cheektowaga. The program has a total of 20 on-ice sessions, four off-ice training sessions, and two classroom sessions. Ice times are: 1999-1998 from 6:45-8 p.m., 2000-2001 from 8-9:15 p.m. Cost for the program is $375 if paid in advance and is limited to 28 positional players and four goaltenders.
