LEWISTON – U.S. Border Patrol officials said they stopped a 12-year-old boy from St. Catharines, Ont., after he drove his grandmother’s car Tuesday to the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge en route to the United States.

Niagara Regional Police, who had put out an all points bulletin about the missing car and boy, and a relative then went to the bridge and took the boy home. He told U.S. officials he had learned to drive while playing video games. The boy, who was not identified by authorities, said he took his grandmother’s car keys out of a jacket in their house.
