LITTLE VALLEY– Three men and a woman were arrested Tuesday by State Police in the Jan. 8 theft of three firearms from a Yorkshire home.
John P. Board, 16, of Delavan, was charged with grand larceny and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail here in lieu of $25,000 cash bail. Dawn Pennington, 42, and her son, William Pennington, 16, also both of Delavan, were arrested for allegedly aiding Board in the theft,
Both Penningtons were charged with criminal facilitation. William Pennington was separately charged with criminal possession of stolen property. His mother was separately charged with unlawfully dealing with a child for getting her son involved in crime. Both were issued appearance tickets for Freedom Town Court proceedings in two weeks.
Christopher S. Lund, 25, of Freedom, a prior felony offender, was arrested for allegedly purchasing the stolen guns. A court-approved search of Lund’s home also confirmed prior crimes by him. Lund was charged with criminal purchase of a weapon, criminal possession of a weapon and stolen property charges. He was also charged with criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful possession or selling noxious material which the troopers refused to identify. Lund was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
