The certified public accounting firm of Tronconi Segarra & Associates appointed Joseph R. Jackson Jr. manager in its state and local tax department. Jackson, a CPA, graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and worked at Ernst & Young. Also, the firm named William J. Lechowicz senior accountant in its accounting and auditing department, and Andrew J. Ziolo senior accountant in its tax department. Lechowicz, a University at Buffalo graduate, was employed in Ernst & Young’s Buffalo office. Ziolo, a CPA, who graduated from Canisius College, previously worked for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.
The Buffalo chapter of the Holistic Chamber of Commerce will hold its first meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Taste of India restaurant, 3093 Sheridan Drive, Amherst. The Chamber is a 3-year-old national organization, with 24 active chapters in nine states made up of holistic, natural and eco-friendly businesses. Donald Scott is the chapter president.
Meals on Wheels Foundation of Western New York received a $1,000 donation from Compu-Mail’s Charity Connection program. The donation was the final of three given as part of Compu-Mail’s 2013 Charity Connection program. Two donations of $500 each were previously granted to the Western and Central New York Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Bison Children’s Scholarship Fund.
