The Buffalo Urban League has launched what it plans to be its first annual fund campaign with a goal of raising $100,000. The drive, with the theme “Moving Generations Forward,” continues through March 31.

The league dates back to 1927, when it was founded by an interracial group of civic leaders to address the needs of African Americans who were then moving to Buffalo from the South. It continues to serve the community with foster care and adoption services, family support and case management, scholarship programs, job training, housing and a minority business development program.

Donations will be accepted online at www.buffalourbanleague.org/donate or by mail to Buffalo Urban League, 15 Genesee St., Buffalo NY 14203.
